As part of the British Creative Music scene, The Perrinornal has been exploring hybrid music and Plunderphonics for over a decade and are the UK's leading exponents of the style (as featured on Wikipedia).
The duo see music as a creative form rather than a commercial one and are one of the founding members behind the British Creative Music Collective (BCMC).
Original in style, yet there are familiar threads as the band draws upon a wide variety of influences - rock, pop, jazz, folk, ethnic, classic, electronic, sound sculpture, film score to avant-garde - and all ages and new sounds, scales and ideas.
"Rarely are two tracks the same but there is a distinct approach rather than a distinct sound which is as far away from how the music industry like bands to be." New Beats Magazine
"This is the kind of band the music industry fears and hates. Non conformist. Non popular in style. Creative. You'd have to very brave to sign a band like this, yet ironically audiences are crying out for fresh. new ideas." M-Usik Blog
"Champions of the 'anti-pop' style, their music is an antidote to the processed plastic pop pumped out by record companies and commercial radio stations. I am sure they''d rather play a whore house than the stage at the Brits." Treble Clef Blog
"The Perrinormal are one of the bands that truly represent the original and creative side of British music. Innovative, inspirational, full of ideas, challenging, sometimes dark, on the edge, surprising but refreshing. Not easy listening but easily rewarding." Geoff Longman, Editor, Creative Music Magazine
